The Company

Yes, there really is an Arturo behind Arturo’s Restaurants! J. Arturo Gutierrez is the Founder and the man who has inspired the growth and development of Arturo’s.

While Arturo was born in Guatemala his father and descendants came from Spain in the early years of the 20th Century. They established a successful flour milling operation and in 1965, a poultry feeding business. Over time the poultry operation grew to include a fully integrated poultry production complex.

In 1985, Arturo made the decision to bring to life a new restaurant concept. A concept that would integrate the most advanced restaurant management systems with Venezuelans love of chicken. He believed strongly in the principle that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Therefore he perfected a system that assured that every aspect of the operation would be controlled. All restaurants are company owned and operated thus assuring that the management team have direct responsibility for every aspect of the operation.

The Arturo’s guarantee of quality begins at the company owned and operated central processing plant/commissary [see video clip], food and restaurant supplies are delivered to restaurants daily on our own trucks, driven by our own drivers. Restaurant managers on average have been with the company for 10 years. This longevity translates into high quality customer service via the delivery of great tasting food within a hospitable environment.

Over the past twenty years this investment in quality control has paid off. Today Arturo’s is Venezuela’s premier fast food chain specializing in chicken, side dishes and desserts. Arturo’s continues to grow throughout the country. Between 2000 and 2005 Arturo’s added 16 new restaurants. Between 2005 and 2010, 25 to 30 new locations will be opened.
